Ability to visually distinguish or highlight personal status effects in shared UI displays

In multiplayer games with shared UI elements (like raid boss status bars showing multiple players' effects), there is no built-in way to make one's own status indicator visibly distinct or larger than others', forcing players to rely on third-party plugins or mods to solve this problem.

Insane to me that most games don’t even have options for enlarging text, and if they do it’s super limited.

Legitimately my favorite plugin for FFXIV is such a simple one. It makes my dot bigger than all the others on the boss bar. That's it. I can tell which one is mine because it is bigger. Why is this not a vanilla option, why is there not some vanilla way for me to mark my dot in a more visible way?

CLASSIFIER RATIONALE

The post expresses genuine unmet demand for a vanilla feature in a specific game (FFXIV): the ability to visually distinguish or highlight one's own status effect indicator on a shared UI element. The author is not venting—they're pointing out that a useful customization option doesn't exist natively and has to be added via third-party plugin. This is a category-level feature gap (visual customization/accessibility for game UI elements), not a bug complaint.
