You have to do more work here if you don’t want the feed to be dominated by high-volume posters (US politics). Worthwhile trade off to not get the X algorithm. But yeah - the lure of X is the lure of relevance and status which is catnip to certain brands of academics.

Yeah, I wish there were a better way here to shrink the volume of posts I see from the high volume posters. There are people I would love to follow, but who post so much that I trust I'll see their best stuff reposted by others.
