FPS game with weapon selection and no loot/economy grind

A first-person shooter campaign (solo/co-op PVE) that lets players choose and customize their weapons directly without requiring engagement with loot systems, inventory management, or in-game economy mechanics. Players want to focus purely on gameplay and combat without the overhead of managing progression through drops and resources.

which I think is like, a smart enough way to handle adding PVE into a game with an existing PVP loot economy.

I just...yeah, it's fine, but I just wanna play a game without having to engage with The Economy. Why can't I just pick the guns I like? And if I can't, why make me fuss with the inventory, loot etc at all and then guess am back to it would've been cool if they made a solo/coop fps campaign

CLASSIFIER RATIONALE

The post expresses genuine frustration with the design pattern of forcing engagement with loot/economy systems in FPS games. The parent context clarifies this is about PVE content design. The author clearly states a preference for an alternative (picking weapons directly, or skipping inventory/loot entirely) and implies this should exist as a game mode/design option. While somewhat inarticulate, this is a real demand for a game design pattern: FPS campaigns that offer gameplay without mandatory loot-economy engagement.
