Waitlist SKU preference customization

A way to set and customize priority preferences for which variant or SKU you want to receive if you're signed up for multiple versions of the same product on a waitlist. Allow users to indicate their preferred option (e.g., cheaper variant over premium variant with additional features) so the fulfillment system can optimize allocation to their stated preference.

Steam Machine stuff has me split between "fuckin hell that's expensive" and "I would like a decent gaming PC and this shit ain't getting better anytime soon." I signed up for the waitlist we'll see what happens I guess.

I'll say this: I wish there was a way to customize the priority of which SKU you can buy if you end up making it onto multiple lists. I'm signed up for both versions because I'm basically willing to buy either but I think I'd prefer the cheaper option, even if I don't get the fancy faceplates.

CLASSIFIER RATIONALE

The post expresses a genuine unmet need: a way to customize SKU priority when on multiple waitlists for the same product. The author wants to express a preference (cheaper option over premium) but has no mechanism to do so in the current waitlist system. This is a product/feature category that could benefit many people managing multiple product waitlists. The parent context confirms this is about a real product waitlist scenario (Steam Machine), making it a substantive demand rather than venting.
