to have *some* ready credible PLC exit. just unwrap the Allegedly wrapper and you've got your fallback PLC directory, ready to go, ready to *accept writes* as the network switches, etc. and i ran this! personally! for half a year, at plc.wtf! it was noooot cheap. but it was technically ready.

now i think a reactive stance is fine *if some tooling is in place which doesn't exist yet*: i would love for there to be a small utility that converts a read-replica database into the schema used by the full-fledged plc directory server.

CLASSIFIER RATIONALE

The post expresses a genuine unmet demand for developer tooling. The author identifies a specific technical gap: a utility that converts a read-replica database schema into a different schema format (PLC directory server). This is framed as something that 'doesn't exist yet' and would solve a real operational problem. The parent context confirms this is about infrastructure resilience/failover, making it a legitimate product category request rather than venting.
