Granular feed control: reduce post visibility from specific accounts

A social media feature that allows users to see fewer posts from a specific account without fully muting or blocking them. Users want to remain connected to certain accounts but reduce their prominence in the feed when those accounts post frequently or excessively, striking a balance between staying aware of their content and preventing feed flooding.

I wish there was a "see less of this account" option for BlueSky. That would be dipping into the quicksand of algorithms though. I'm delighted by some folks' posts in moderation, but when they end up in bot territory & start flooding my feed it's a lot. Chill & leave some space for others to post.

CLASSIFIER RATIONALE

The post expresses a genuine, category-level unmet demand for a feature that would allow users to reduce visibility of certain accounts without fully blocking or muting them. This is a feature gap in social media platforms, not a complaint about a specific bug. The author acknowledges the algorithmic complexity but still clearly articulates the need.
