Modern animation authoring tool with web-standard export

An animation and interactive content creation tool that provides a workflow similar to Flash, but exports to modern web standards (HTML5/Canvas/WebGL) that work in any browser without plugins. Should support frame-based animation, vector graphics, and interactive content creation with ease comparable to legacy Flash authoring software.

110% behind booting flash off the web, maybe even killing off the .swf format, but yeah it was the loss of .fla authoring software that really fucked me over i've toyed with opentoonz and blender over the years, but neither was ever well-suited for my old style of animation

I mean there's no reason that you couldn't have a version of flash that emits plain-old web content any browser will play, no plugins required. In fact, Adobe Animate (which is what they call Flash now) CAN do that! But nobody has built a tool that is what Flash was but for the modern era.

CLASSIFIER RATIONALE

The post expresses a genuine gap: modern animation/interactive content authoring software that combines Flash's ease of use and workflow with contemporary web standards output. The parent context clarifies the author's specific pain (loss of .fla authoring tools post-Flash), and the reply identifies the unmet need: a modern successor tool. This is a category-level product gap, not a complaint about an existing tool's bug.
