Easy, affordable self-hosted wiki platform

A wiki hosting or self-hosting solution that is easier to set up and maintain than MediaWiki, more affordable than existing managed options, and more accessible to non-technical users. The existing landscape forces users to choose between expensive managed services, technically complex self-hosting, or tools that are annoying to work with.

most of it is on carrd, a good chunk is on rphub. other things like his reactions to msq events exist solely in my mind... where would i even put that 🤔 because id love to share... 💔

I wish there was a way to host our own wikis easily. But requesting a Miraheze wiki is too much...but self hosting your own MediaWiki instance is also too expensive and inaccessible... and the options I have found are quite annoying to work with!

CLASSIFIER RATIONALE

The post expresses a genuine category-level gap: the author wants an easy, affordable, accessible way to self-host a wiki but finds existing options (Miraheze, self-hosted MediaWiki, other tools) either too expensive, inaccessible, or annoying to use. This is a clear unmet demand for a middle-ground solution. The parent context confirms the use case (sharing character/event information) without changing the actionability of the reply.
