Better display options for in-game chat and speech-to-text overlays

A way to display text chat and speech-to-text messages in games without significantly reducing the size or visibility of the main gameplay window. Options like transparent overlays or alternative display modes would allow players to see both their chat and the game simultaneously.

Found out how to use the TTS chat in GameChat on the Switch 2 and noticed there’s no swear filter on it even though this is online

Also I wish there were more display options when having text chat/speech to text option instead of it shrinking the main window so much… like would be nice as a transparent overlay or something

CLASSIFIER RATIONALE

The reply expresses a genuine UX gap: text-to-speech/chat display options that don't obstruct the main interface. The author is suggesting an alternative UI pattern (transparent overlay) that would solve the problem of the current implementation shrinking the main window. This is a category-level feature request for better chat display modes, not a complaint about a specific bug.
